Who is our training intended for?

Trusteq’s Identity & Access Management (or IAM) training is intended for your organisation’s IT administrators who have the task of guaranteeing your employees or partners safe and controlled access to your systems.

What is the topic of the training?

The training handles the entire IAM package, from user identification to the complete automation of identity management. Participants will obtain answers to the following questions:

  • What does Identity & Access Management (IAM) mean?
  • What kind of problems does IAM solve?
  • What do typical and proven technical implementations look like?
  • How can confidentiality and privacy questions be solved?
  • How might you plan and implement your IAM project in practice?

The training includes a range of practical examples of problems and their solutions, gleaned from actual IAM projects.

What preliminary information do participants need?

The course has no specific preliminary information requirements.

How long does the training take?

The course lasts either half a day or a full day, depending on your preference. The full day training includes more examples and excercises.

How will the training benefit me?

Participants will gain an understanding of how to use an IAM system and cost-efficiently solve the identity management and access control problems encountered in your organisation. In addition, the training will clarify how the IAM package is related to your organisation’s current systems.

Who gives the training?

You will be trained by Trusteq Oy’s Jukka Lauhia who has experience garnered from dozens of demanding IAM projects both in Finland and abroad.

What is the course’s programme like?

Full day training begins with a meeting at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4.00 p.m. The programme has 12 parts as follows:

  1. What does Identity & Access Management (IAM) mean?
  2. What kinds of problems does IAM solve?
  3. Technical solutions.
  4. Access Management.
  5. Users and user directories.
  6. Identification methods.
  7. Single Sign-On services.
  8. Identity Management and identity provisioning.
  9. Federation.
  10. Confidentiality and privacy issues.
  11. Common operating models in an IAM project, from planning to implementation.
  12. Summary of day and questions.

The day’s programme includes two 15 minute coffee breaks and an hour-long lunch break.

What language is used in the training?

The training can be held in Finnish or English, depending on your preference.

How much does the training cost?

Half-day training costs EUR 1,950 and a full day EUR 2,850 (excluding VAT).

The maximum number of participants is 20, and the price covers training in your own facilities in the Helsinki Metropolitan area.

In addition, a preliminary meeting of one hour, during which our trainer familiarises himself with the situation in your organisation, is included.
